Dubai, United Arab Emirates

HIS TRAVEL
February 2018

Dubai is becoming one of the top tourist destinations in the world.  It is a city in the United Arab Emirates known for it's luxurious hotels, shopping centers, theme parks, and modern architecture.  Dubai is a destination where you can explore it's diverse attractions, history, and modern wonders.  It takes pride in their story on how they turn from previously a desolate land to a thriving economy today.  Right now, I'm here on a 4D3N solo trip and see what Dubai has to offer.  Here we go!

Desert Safari

One of the activities you shouldn't miss when to visit Dubai is the Desert Safari Tour.  Many tour operators offer this 6-8 hour activity usually starting from 3-4PM and ending 9-10PM.  To book this tour you can ask your hotel for assistance or directly book online from the many tour operators in Dubai.  This tour is a fun activity and is complete with many other side activities, cultural shows, and free dinner in a desert camp.

Jumeirah Public Beach

One of the most visited spots in Dubai is the Jumeriah Public Beach.  It is a long stretch of white sand beach with a great view of the Burj Al Arab.  Tourists and locals alike bask themselves in this beach just enjoying the clear blue waters and amazing view.

Burj Al Arab

Considered as one of the most luxurious hotel in the world.  Many has branded it as a 7-stars hotel, but it's actually a myth because the official highest rating is still at 5-stars.  The Burj Al Arab is shaped like sail overlooking the Arabian Gulf.  Tourists come here usually just to dine in its 9 signature restaurants and then stroll along the grounds to marvel it's beauty.  It is situated in it's own island where it can be seen even from afar.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah

Souk Madinat Jumeirah is a traditional market or souk known for retail shops and restaurants.  The area is also surrounded by small canals and waterways, where you can hire an 'abra' for a sightseeing boat ride.

Marina Dhow Dinner Cruise

At night, Dubai is also known for their Dhow Dinner Cruises.  One of the famous Dinner Cruise is here at the Dubai Marina.  It is a 1.5 hour Dhow cruise along the Marina wherein you will be delighted by city lights from the tall buildings in the Marina area.  The cruise comes with a dinner buffet and a classic Tanoura Dance show.

Burj Khalifa

Probably the most iconic structure in Dubai where they take pride of.  The Burj Khalifa is considered the tallest building to date (Feb 2018) at 828 meters high.  It is connected to the Dubai Mall, and is well known for it's observatory called "At The Top".  The observatory is on the 124th and 125th floor.  But there is a VIP section located at the 148th floor.  The observatories provides a magnificent view of Dubai.

VIP tickets come with a complimentary VR Expeience

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo

Just inside Dubai Mall is the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo.  It is a big aquarium full of underwater marine life.  The aquarium can also host scuba diving activities at a cost.

Dubai Fountain Lake

This is a man-made lake that hosts the Dubai Fountain Show.  It is considered to be the biggest Fountain Show this side of the continent.  And to further give you a more exciting experience, you can avail of an "abra" boat, so you can have front row seats during the fountain show.  This area is located just at the back of Dubai Mall.

.
Global Village

Global Village is one of the newest attractions here in Dubai.  It is an attraction with a carnival, themed pavilions, concert grounds, and a night market wherein both locals and tourists come during the evening.  The attraction is open only seasonally during winter months from November to April.

Miracle Garden

Considered as the largest flower garden, the Dubai Miracle Garden was certified by the Guinness World Records as the largest flower structure in the world.  But due to the extreme heat in Dubai, the garden is also open only during winter season.  You may check their website for the exact opening dates.

Dubai Parks & Resorts

Would it be nice if all the theme parks are all in one place.  Apparently, here in Dubai Parks and Resorts, they have done just that.  Here 4 theme parks are located in one area for more accessibility.  Riverland, Legoland, Bollywood, and Motion Gate theme parks are all connected to each other.

Dubai is a wonderful place to visit and explore.  What I've shown you is just a fraction of the many attractions and activities in Dubai.  I recommend you visit Dubai and experience the modern and traditional fusion of both middle-eastern and western culture.
